Dry Lips?

Vaseline can be your best bet for dry lips, take some and slather on your lips. Massage with a toothbrush and wipe clean with tissue. Your lips will be nice and soft!

Also for those who where makeup, vaseline is a quick 2 in 1 makeup remover. It removes your makeup while repairing dry skin. Both of these work great and i use it all the time, but im am always open to new ideas so comment away!

Vitamin That Helps Damaged Hair

Fish oil, sounds gross right? Well it is if you take the literal oil, but now the come in an odor free pill. They are usually called Omega 3 & Fish Oil, and both will help your hair become healthier and less likely to dry out after a week of taking them. Your skin also benifts, it will have a 'glow' and wont be as dry and blah looking. In the winter this helps me to not look as pale, im pale as is so its only a minor difference but its one i definatly notice. This one vitain will help you look and feel healthier after taking it everyday, i usually get mine at the health food store but they are available at wal-mart and other stores too. This is one thing that everyone could take and benifit.

Whiten Your Teeth With This Affordable Trick

Strawberries and baking soda are two cheap kitchen products that are both natural teeth whiteners. To reap its full benifits mash 1 ripe strawberry with 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp (depends on strawberry size) and use in replace of toothpaste. Only bi-weekly though ( no more than twice a week) or the natural acids of the strawberries will deteriorate your enamal over time. This is a way cheaper alternative to pricy whiting kits that literally bleach your teeth.

Healing Properties of Olive Oil

Olive oil is one of those kitchen items that can do wonders for your whole body. It is rich with vitamin E wich can heal dry or sun damaged skin. It can be used for anything from dry skin to dandruff control. It is realtivley cheap compared to cosmetics and expensive creams so you save on money over time.

For dry skin you can use it on any part from head to toe, Take a clean cotton ball or cosmetic pad (even a folded piece of toilet paper) and carefully pour the olive oil WITHOUT touching the bottle or it can contaminate it. Swab the dry area and make sure it is covered with a thick layer but not dripping. If u can cover it with socks or goves and let it rest overnight. In the morning you will see a difference! This works for those pesky patches of dry skin on your face.

Nails can get very dry and crack in the winter. If your like me then you hate to pay alot of money for somehting you cando yourself if u had the time. Instead of buying cuticle creams or going to a nail salon, do it at home for cheap! Using the same method as above apply the oil to just your finger tips and recoat as many times as you like. For even better results coat your fingertips with oil then slip on some gloves! I usually leave it on all day, i do it on sunday so my nails are fresh for the week =D

Dry damaged hair can look frizzy and feel dry, Olive oil can help restore lots of lost nutrients from your and, its its super easy! Take a good amount of oilve oil and cover you hair (yes all of it) and cover ith a shower cap for about 30 mins. Take off the cap and shower with your regular shampoo and conditioner. It may take a few extra minutes to get the all the extra oil off but it will be worth it, especially if you straighten your hair and its dry.

Bath water can leave your skin dry, in the country its the well water and in cities its the chlorine. If you mix 1-3 tablespoons of olive oil with a drop of your favorite essential oil (I suggest lavendar or rose, then you will have a good sleep), add it to your bath and presto! You have a bath that leaves your skin soft! This is great for in the winter and if you use ecalyptus when your sick it can help you fell better faster!

Suggestions:
  • I suggest you use extra virgin olive oil, it has the most vitaminsin it and it is the thickest of them all. Ones labeled Light and Pure hve been chemically tampered with, virgin olive oil is the best money can buy!
  • You can use all of these routines more than once a day, every day and the only benifit is soft skin!
  • DO NOT use soap on yor skin after, it will remove all the oil still abosrbing. If need be use a small abount of cleanser and pat your face dry.
  • Buy a nice bottle for someoil to put in your bathroom, its easier than getting the oil from the kitchen or risking contamination from the cotton ball.

Instead of eye cream, try this!

If you or someone in your family drinks tea, this will be very easy for you!!

Take 2 bags that have been used to brew tea, and put them in the fridge on a small plate. These may be collected over 2-3 days, just make sure they go into the fridge. Once they are chilled take both tea bags and lightly rest over your eyes (They should not be soaking wet or anything, just moist). Relax for 5-10 min and your done. Return they tea bags to the fridge for future use!

Suggestions:
  • Use Green Tea Bags, the ingredients in green tea will help get rid of dark circles aounrd your eye.
  • wipe eye area gently with a dark cloth if you plan on going out after (leaveit if you are just going to sleep)
  • This method can be used when traveling andis a great quick solution if you have dark circle and are going out that night!

Sore throat Cure

Many people are starting to use essential, or natural oils. They come in a wide variety from blends to pure oils such as tea-tree or rose oil. More on that later, my point is that for a sore throat you need two of these relativley cheap oils. You take a clean tablespoon and take a spoonful of honey, take ONE lemon oil drop (A MUST) and your choice of another drop of oil (eucalyptus oil is my suggestion) and mix with a toothpick. Take whole spoonful at once, if possible try to 'hold' it in the back of your throat or swallow slowly. This can be done as many times you like, and since it is honey based it doesn't taste like yucky cough syrup! I have used this when i had the flu and it is always easy on the throat and the stomach at the same time.

Quick Cure for an Upset Stomach

When I was younger I was one of those kids who refused to take any medicine. So when i had a sore stomach my parents would mix a cup of warm water with a bit of baking soda. It works for heartburn, acid reflux, or just to settle your stomach at night. Just make sure you SIP it, not chug. Its works wonders and its natural, cheap and plentiful!
